Welcome to LK Lightning, a premier travel softball organization based in Somerset and Friedens, Pennsylvania featuring players from various parts of Western and Central PA. Dedicated to the development of young athletes both on and off the field, our organization provides a competitive environment where players can hone their skills, build lasting friendships, and embrace the spirit of our communities.

At LK Lightning, our goal is to foster a culture of excellence, discipline, and teamwork while providing our players and their families with a projected lower cost than many area programs. We strive to provide high-level instruction and competitive opportunities that challenge our athletes to reach their full potential. Whether competing in local and out of state events, or on the national stage with USSSA, we are committed to helping our players grow into confident leaders and elite competitors.

A Tradition of Success

The Lightning has quickly become a respected name in regional travel ball. Our teams have found continued success at various tournaments, highlighted by our 14U Pollock squad’s 1st Place finish at the 2025 USSSA Eastern National Championships.

In addition, our 2024 16U Landis squad competed to a top 5 finish out of a 114 team division at the World Series Nationals in Columbus, Ohio

From our first year 10U rosters to our college-prep 16 and 18U teams, we take pride in a track record of player improvement and development for advancement highlighted by our high college placement rate in our older age groups all while creating lifelong memories on and off the field.
